One last run for Winston's Wish...

My Son will be at the finish line, It's the first time where I've not felt like I'm doing it for just dad, but for me. And now I can reveal after this, I won't get to run for Winston's Wish again.... https://winstonswish.org/child-bereavement-charities-to-merge/ Now this is not as bleak as I'm possible portraying it, the merger is great news, pooling resources means more support for bereaved families who really need it and I'll still be fundraising and running for Child Bereavement UK, if they will have me. But the name means a lot to me, so I've a bit of letting go to do before I can fully move on. It's been there for me since dad died, and I don't think my life would be the same without them and it'll be odd not donning the Salmon pink running t-shirt or my Jersey for bike events. I'll continue to wear them for training. It does help to focus me on making sure I go out in style this time out though.... well as much style as man in a dino costume can. I'm currently sitting at £1066 which is amazing, but I want to smash that amount now. From a selfish point of view, my just giving profile shows I've raised £19611.71 since I started all the mad fundraising.... how great it would be to see London get me over £20,000. Looking at that total, it's humbling to see people have believe in me that much, and my story, to support the charities I've ran/cycled/played rugby for. The training goes well, I'm up to 16 Miles on my long runs and I've a couple of weeks to push that out a little further before the taper begins. I also need to break out the Dino costume, so it's all progressing and the clock is ticking.
